装置主要由主体框架、升降机构、上下视觉系统和PLC软件控制四大部分组成。主体框架主要用于放置多层培养容器；升降机构用于多层容器的提升，方便对其容器底部的观察；上下视觉系统，主要用于观察多层容器上表面和下表面使成高清图像输出到显示器中。
作业人员将需要观测的多层培养容器，推入观测装置主体框架内，作业人员在触摸屏即中控制升降机构升起，上下视觉系统进行光学拍摄将画面成像在显示器中。观测结束后一键视觉相机复位，升降系统复位。
